Question: "Separation
between Church and State." Who coined the Phrase? Give up?
Answer: Thomas Jefferson - one of the founding fathers of this
great Nation and a creator of the U.S. Constitution and the First Amendment
to that same Constitution. Thomas Jefferson, in 1802, wrote a Letter
to the Danbury Baptist Association, referring to the First Amendment to the
US Constitution. In it he said:

ARE
EXTREMIST (TEA PARTY)
REPUBLICANS THE ENEMY AND TRAITORS TO AMERICA by R. Blackbird Extremist (Tea Party) Republicans are selfish, power hungry, hateful of the poor, disloyal to the nation and its people, dishonest, avaricious, scornful of the nation's history, the dignity of its institutio Those Extremist Republicans hate the rest of us, which they must, in order to pass away from themselves and onto us, the financial burdens and losses their crimes, schemes and thefts cause. They are prolific, incessant, and destructive liars. They are blasphemers for they insist that their hateful and destructive deeds are the work of God. They are apostates for they gleefully attack the poor, the immigrants, the old and the sick, of whom God has commanded all of us to be mindful. There is no reasoning with them, for all their logic is built on false premises. There is no appealing to them for honor's sake for they have lost all sense of shame and have no honor, there is no appealing to them for the nation's sake for that it what they hate the most. Extremist (Tea Party) Republicans are the enemy. We will leave it up to the reader to determine whether Saxby Chambliss has made serious errors in in judgment. Saxby has supported a Conservative Far Right Christian position especially when it comes to Church and State issues, but he also supports Rape by Defense Contractors. It is apparent from the data collected, that the first amendment may be in danger from his past and future actions as well as other constitutional sections. He has supported deregulation of banks and the SEC causing the current economic Depression. Saxby Chambliss's office stated that his position is that Certain Religions aren't "Real" religions. What is a real religion, Mr. Chambliss? What you have been practicing? He says on the one hand that only certain Christian denominations are valid. Read the following and remember: "By their Works may they be known." This is a summary of information collected from several sources about Saxby Chambliss. (Remember it is best to investigate on your own when looking at allegations about anyone. Don't believe us, think for yourself and investigate for yourself! And remember, the First Amendment Coalition and Religious Freedom Coalition of the South East do not represent any political party nor do we recommend any political candidate, nor are we involving ourselves in the political process.) Bad Senator's Bad Touch
Here's Saxby Chambliss, Georgia Senator, in a campaign ad for tomorrow's runoff election to decide whether he'll keep his seat, groping his granddaughter. What is odd is not so much the awkward granddaughter-groping as the fact that he and his campaign happily allowed this take of this particular commercial to be released to the public, without someone, at some point, saying, "hey, Saxby, it looks like you're copping a feel on your granddaughter, there. Might want to retake that." But then the tone of the commercial was already so creepy that no one probably noticed, huh. Vote for our big daddy or he'll continue touching us! Senator Chambliss and the Republican Party Supports Rape by Defense Contractors
I think that all homo sapiens can understand
how the mere thought of an organization that receives government
money through contract mechanisms being tangentially involved in
setting up a fake tax shelter for a fake pimp and his fake
prostitution ring of fake prostitutes can justifiably lead to
lawmakers
going absolutely cross-eyed with
white-hot, impotent rage. But
what happens when a similarly taxpayer-endowed contractor
attempts to
cover up employee-on-employee gang rape
by locking up the victim in a shipping container without food
and water and threatening her with reprisals if she report the
incident? Somehow, it doesn't engender the same level of anger!
30 misogynist Republicans in the U.S. Senate are totally OK with rape, at least where women are concerned. Predictably in yet another routine attempt to serve their corporate masters, (this time the GOP stood by Halliburton) Republicans voted against women and for corporate contempt of rape victims. Some Republican senators are taking heat for voting against an amendment that would allow employees of military contractors to sue their employers if they are raped at work -- and they want the Democratic senator who wrote the amendment to help them fight off the bad publicity. Instead of standing up to take responsibility for or clarifying their disgraceful votes, Republican cowards are instead attacking Al Franken, blaming him for their votes. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) accused Franken exploiting the story of Jamie Leigh Jones -- a former KBR employee who says she was locked in a container in Iraq after alleging she was raped by co-workers -- to further his political agenda. I guess Franken held a sledge hammer over Cornyn's head and said if he did not vote against the anti-rape amendment Franken would crack it over his head. What shameless cowards. To summarize the Republican position: As women, we are not "average Americans," and gang rape is not a "serious" issue. As women, no matter how powerful we become on our own merits, the Republican establishment will still be hoping for a man to come along and put us in our place. Not every Republican signs onto these views -- indeed, 10 Senate Republicans voted for the Franken amendment, giving the lie to the NRSC's claim of partisanship -- but this is the undercurrent of the party's policies. This is what they're hoping to get voters to overlook when they run a Sarah Palin or a Kelly Ayotte for office. This is why Bob McDonnell's campaign for Virginia governor has been such a popular campaign stop for 2012 prospects: because of, not despite, his opposition to marital contraception and women in the workplace. This is why David Vitter (who voted against the Franken amendment) is still a senator in good standing with the party of alleged sexual morality. You don't have to go very far beneath the Republican surface claims of equality-but-not-really to get to the rock-bottom sense that women just don't count, that our rights and our wellbeing are always subordinate to whatever interest of men they might conflict with. When it comes to it, even the (themselves sexist) notions of chivalry and protecting women come behind protecting the right of corporations to imprison their female employees to shield their male employees from rape charges and still get government contracts. Credit new Senator Al Franken however, for introducing an amendment to the Defense Appropriations bill that would punish contractors if they "restrict their employees from taking workplace sexual assault, battery and discrimination cases to court." You'd think that this would be a no-brainer, actually, but that didn't stop Jeff Sessions from labeling Franken's effort a "political attack directed at Halliburton." Franken, of course, pointed out that his amendment would apply broadly, to all contractors, because otherwise, 'twould be a bill of attainder, right? Right?Franken's amendment ended up passing, 68-30. Here's a list of the Senators who showed broad support for Rapists and Pedophiles by voting against it: (Click on their names to find out more about them)
Alexander (R-TN) Savannah lawyers question Sen. Chambliss' role in Imperial Sugar whistleblower hearingThere are allegations that U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss attempted to discredit a whistleblower at a Senate hearing last year, and that he did so at the urging of the company the whistleblower was trying to expose. The Savannah Morning News has the story. In February 2008, a fire at Imperial Sugar’s Port Wentworth refinery killed 14 people. The United States Senate held a hearing in July of that year which focused on the cause of the fire. At the hearing, the company’s former executive, Graham Graham, testified that the company prevented him from making refineries safer. During Graham’s statements, Senator Chambliss frequently interrupted and challenged Graham’s veracity on more than one occasion. Chambliss does not sit on the subcommittee which questioned Graham, but he was invited by the committee’s ranking Republican, Senator Johnny Isakson, to partake in the hearing. Before the hearing, Imperial Sugar lobbyist George Baker sent a memo and five documents to Chambliss which detailed a phone conversation that had taken place the day before between Chambliss, the company’s CEO, and Baker. The memo stated that Imperial disagreed with what Graham was going to say at the hearing and provided Chambliss with questions to ask Graham during the hearing. Chambliss did in fact ask questions which were similar to those the company provided. In addition, one of the documents sent to Chambliss was written by a former OSHA inspector. The document stated that OSHA never trained him on the hazards of combustible dust which is believed to be one reason for the fire, and that OSHA lacked clear standards on combustible dust. The inspector wrote and signed the document the same day as the Barker memo at Imperial’s request. Chambliss’ office claims that the Senator was only advocating for the victims of the fire by asking tough questions. His office also says that Chambliss did not respond to the memo. Lawyers for Graham and the victims say this shows that Imperial and Chambliss worked together to discredit Graham. One attorney representing some of the victims also claims that Chambliss attempted to talk his clients out of suing Imperial. In the past, Chambliss has received over $130,000 from sugar interests. This includes money from Imperial’s lobbyists and political committee. In fact, five weeks before the hearing Baker made a $1,000 donation to Chambliss’ campaign. Imperial is now facing an $8.8 million fine from OSHA for safety violations at its refineries as well as lawsuits from the Port Wentworth fire. Dear Georgia Citizens, You deserve a United States Senator who cares deeply about the challenges you face on a daily basis: paying the mortgage or the rent, receiving quality health care, educating your children, making sure you have clean water to drink and clean air to breathe, protecting our neighborhood and our nation. You deserve a United States Senator who understands the difficulties you face as you work to achieve the American Dream. Unfortunately, Saxby Chambliss does not care about the challenges you face. Saxby Chambliss does not understand or, frankly, give a damn about the difficulties you face. Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about you. I recognize that that's a pretty tall claim to present, but it is the truth. What does Saxby Chambliss care about? Saxby Chambliss cares about Saxby Chambliss. He cares about keeping his job rather than doing his job. He cares about whatever is politically expedient to keep him in power. Because Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about you, you should not vote for Saxby Chambliss. You shouldn't reward with your vote a man who lacks compassion, integrity, or basic decency. Saxby Chambliss, regarded as one of the best golfers in Washington D.C. (you probably have to have pretty good knees to be one of the best golfers in D.C.), sought deferment after deferment to avoid military service, claiming "bad knees" amongst other things. Chambliss then went on to compare a war hero who lost three limbs on the battlefield to a terrorist, and further went on to rack up terrible ratings from veterans groups as Chambliss opposed benefits for veterans. Saxby Chambliss cowardly ducked service and then, in a most disgusting fashion, attacked those who did serve and did sacrifice. When he votes on veterans issues, he opposes benefits for veterans. And when it was time for the Senate to discuss intelligence regarding the Iraq War, Saxby literally skipped work to go out golfing. Chambliss isn't willing to sacrifice himself for our national security - he isn't even willing to skip a round of golf for our national security. Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about you. After an explosion at an Imperial Sugar refinery, an executive came forward to testify about the dangers at the refinery and how he had tried to get the powers that be at Imperial to make the plant safer before the explosion. This man wanted to make the workplace safer for Georgian workers. However, when he came to testify, Saxby Chambliss used it as an opportunity to attack the man who was only trying to make Georgian workplaces safer. You see, Imperial Sugar and the sugar industry in general are big donors to Saxby Chambliss. And Saxby Chambliss cares about Saxby Chambliss, so Chambliss sided with his political benefactors instead of Georgia's workers. Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about you. Subsequently, Saxby Chambliss was recently subpoenaed to testify in the Imperial Sugar trial. But Saxby's lawyers are trying to convince us that the rules don't apply to Saxby because he's currently a U.S. Senator. Saxby is trying to weasel out of testifying in a case against his donors. Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about the rule of law, and he doesn't care about you. When PeachCare (Georgia's version of the federal SCHIP program that provides health care for poor children) ran out of money and the Senate voted on whether or not to fund and expand the program so that sick children could have health care, Saxby Chambliss voted against health care for sick children. Saxby then spent quite some time generating cockamamie stories about how voting against health care for Georgia's sick children was somehow good for Georgia's families. Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about you. Georgia's senior citizens should be very concerned about their retirement income. They should be very concerned because Saxby Chambliss isn't concerned. Saxby wanted to privatize social security and put seniors' retirement funds into the stock market. If Saxby had gotten his way, Georgia's seniors would have seen their social security disappear amid the current financial crisis. Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about you. Saxby Chambliss has a history of, at best, "racially insensitive" comments and actions. He calls non-minority voters (i.e. white voters) "our folks," and he refers to voters outside of his white base (i.e. minority voters) "the other folks." It doesn't help Chambliss' credibility that he has hosted golf outings for lobbyists at a whites-only country club. Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about you. A recent column in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution summarizes Saxby Chambliss quite succinctly: Saxby Chambliss has spent the last six years as a loyal servant of Big Business. He has worked to deliver whatever corporate executives wanted, no matter how greedy, selfish or dangerous their wish list. He has bent the rules to accommodate the captains of commerce. Chambliss is the lap dog of corporate interests. Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about you. He should, but he doesn't. However, you should care about you, your family, your community and your country; and, when you vote, you should vote with your interest in mind. Saxby Chambliss won't be able to do anything for you, even if he wanted to (which he doesn't): When you look at Saxby and Johnny, you have to wonder how Georgia could have ended up with these two guys in Washington to represent them in these dire times. They'll be lucky to get appointments to the window-washing and elevator-maintenance committees. Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about the challenges you face. Saxby Chambliss doesn't care about you. Saxby and Lindsey Want to Attack Iran! If Lindsey Graham has an idea, it’s probably a bad one. I know it’s not always the case, but usually, if you hear Senator Graham say we should go North, we’re likely much better off heading due South. But when Saxby Chambliss agrees with Lindsey Graham, well, if that doesn’t send up red flags for you, nothing will. I recently saw an interview on youtube with these two Senators, and it’s a really interesting one. Basically, the argument is that we should attack Iran so Israel doesn’t have to. Then the world can be angry at us instead of being angry at Iran. Senator Graham says:
Seems to me like that would put all of that pressure on the US. Is that really what he wants? Graham continues:
Wow. That’s saying a lot. So what does Saxby Chambliss say of this idea?
“It’s an all or nothing deal.” Given those options, I’d take nothing.
