Atlantis - an Ice Age Civilization

Everyone that I know of has heard of Atlantis, at one time or another. Most Encyclopedias have an article on Atlantis, which usually reads something like: "Atlantis, according to an ancient Greek myth recorded by Plato, was described as a vast island in the Atlantic Ocean to the west of Gibraltar, with fertile soil and a dense population, which sank to the bottom of the sea because of an earthquake. Questions of whether Atlantis actually existed, and if so, why it vanished, continue to arouse controversy among scientists as much as ever."

The Welsh Witchcraft tradition of Dynion Mwyn aka Y Tylwyth Teg, has many legends associated with a single lost civilization which we have interpreted to describe Atlantis. But we just may have gotten it wrong. We may have been too conservative. There may have been many many centers of civilization all around the world which are located within 5500 miles of the equator going back at least 12-15,000 years. And their language and alphabet may have been similar to Etruscan.

Many geologists and some forward thinking Archeologists, theorize that there have been many many civilizations since the beginning of humankind. There have been recent discoveries of submerged structures near the Island of Okinawa which have been dated by geologists at over 10,000 years old; there are submerged roads off the coast of Bimini Island, and Aruba Island which were laid out and trail off toward the Yucatan (or Cuba); There are roads which lead off into the depths of the Mediterranean; The Sphinx is thought now by geologists to be over 6,000 and maybe 10,000 years old; There are sites under the Niorth Sea which seem to be cities with stone columns; There seems to be dozens if not hundreds of sites worldwide that archeologists can't explain, and refuse to address, since the existence of massive stone structures, that were built prior to 6,000 BC, does not fit into their neat theories. We knew our beliefs would some day be validated, but we didn't know that time would come in our life time, even though Edgar Cayce said proof of Atlantis would be found near Bimini Island in the 70s and 80s.

One around the Carribean (click here to see the recent discovery of Pyramids and Urban Ruins off the coast of Cuba in 2000 feet of water); one on the Celtic Shelf surrounding Spain, France and England as well as the North Sea, which lies about 200 meters under the current water level; and the other which lies at the 200 meter level around Indonesia, India and the South China sea.

These three areas more than any other meet all the qualifications for the location of ancient civilizations just after the last Ice Age. Rather than bore you with our personal theories, we are going to give you the Internet addresses which should give you enlightened knowledge on the subject.

All three of these theories have their champions and detractors. We at Dynion Mwyn declare that they are all right!! The Celtic Shelf site shows that both Atlantis and Hyperborea probably derived from the same source. The Indonesia and India site shows that Lemuria and Poseidon probably existed. The Cuban site is by far the most interesting because it may provide the source for the great Olmec and Mayan civilizations. This article is sure to cause you to think. He thinks Atlantis was located on the Celtic shelf. The third is, "Atlantis, the Lost Continent Finally Found" at http://www.atlan.org/. He thinks Atlantis was on the ocean floor near Indonesia. A recent discovery of 7,000 year old ruins in about 200 meters of water off the coast of India may support this theory.
