Spirituality is the fundamental essence of any valid religious and philosophical system.  It is the core of Witchcraft, Wicca, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and all other religions.  It is also at the core of every thought system that we as humans have ever created: modern physics, democracy, communism, atheism, humanitarianism, and others. This is because we, as humans, all have the same basic needs and wants.  Spirituality is concerned with our deepest and most important desires for happiness, peace, and a bit of fun.

The spiritual part of our nature is subtle and ordinarily quite difficult to fully experience.  It is usually so deep down inside of our being that, most of the time, one can barely sense it. The many experiences and sensations of your mind, body, and the external world also tend to drown it out.  Thus, spiritual practice is all about learning how you can get in touch with your most precious part, your spiritual nature.

Any technique that uses the subtle energies for healing is considered spiritual or psychic healing.  Such energies are only now starting to be recognized by western medicine.  Most eastern medical systems have acknowledged and used such forces for hundreds to thousands of years.  "Chi" and "prana" are two of the better known names for these energies.  They are related to, and can be directed by, a person's consciousness. Because of this, one can receive such healing forces either in the presence of, or at a distance from, the healer being worked with.

In general, counseling works best through respect.  The person giving advice is, at heart, really not that much different than the person asking for it; it is only that the counselor usually has had more experience about the topic being discussed.  When that topic is spirituality, the aim is to empower a basically well-adjusted person to further his or her growth towards recognizing and becoming part of the larger experience that we call life. Service is a great way for a person to help themselves as well as others.  There are no gimmicks here.  We feel that we would like to help others and that such help should be as available as needed.

Background: Our counselors and staff have spent over 25 years researching spiritual topics; most have spent over 25 years practicing Witchcraft.  They teach meditation and have an understanding of most metaphysical systems such as Witchcraft, Wicca, Sufism, Hindu Yoga, Tantra, Tibetan Buddhism, and Western Mystery traditions.   Our counselors are initiated Witch Elders in the Welsh tradition of Y Dynion Mwyn.   Some have Ph.D.s in Humanistic Psychology; some are legal secretaries; some are certified family mediators; some are landscape architects; and some are computer programmers.   They are people just like you -- they come from all walks of life.  All have some formal training in psychology, psychotherapy or other behavior modality.

Spiritual healing can be tricky.   Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.  Healing is totally dependent on your attitude and belief.  We promise you we will do our best.  But we don't promise a complete cure for you.  That would be irresponsible.  At the least, you will have a great deal of positive energy and goodwill sent your way and perhaps your day will be a bit better.

Spiritual counseling is a bit more manageable.  But still, much of the result will come from your own efforts and skillful actions.  We can provide you a sounding board for your ideas and offer advice; but it is your life and in the end, only you can make things go the way you would like for them to.
